Every newbie who starts a blog finds its a daunting task to choose topics to
write articles that could be interesting to readers as well as be easily accepted
by the article directories and also be optimized for the Search Engines . It
further complicates the task if you are blogging in a niche that is very
competitive like the fat loss or the make money niche, where every topic
seems to be exhaustively covered and the current topics seem difficult to
write, due to lack of experience and extensive knowledge.

Here are a seven pointers on How To Choose Topics To Write Articles.

  • Choose a topic in which you are interested in and in which you can speak volumes. If you are passionate about a topic it helps as it bring out the finer points (of the subject from your point of view) as per your perspective.
  • Alternately you could jot down the hobbies that you devote time to. If you are interested in music you could write about the 1) history of music 2) Popularity of music. 3) Genres of music 4) Popular musical instruments 5) Singers and Bands 6) Lyricist 7) Music software 8) MP3′s iPods and other listening devices 9) Audio equipment  so on and so forth with each topic branching out into other sub-topics, this gives you ample scope to choose topics.
  • Another source to choose topics would be the article directories which have thousands of topics that have been written about, you could add your perspective your experience to any of those topics. Ezine Articles is a good example.
  • In your own niche seek out blogs and get an idea of what they blog about.
  • Visiting forums is another source of finding topics to write about, going through the threads will give you an idea of what problems people want  solved and what solutions you could provide.
  • Attending webinars in your particular niche could give you ample topics to write about, as questions are asked and answers provided you could add your side to that solution and that could be a series of topics to write about.

Keep the habit of writing going and as your writing skills improve, you will find
it  easier to write on different topics, but to begin with, it’s best to stick with
